When the album was released in 2004, it debuted at number one on the UK charts, was certified multiple times platinum, and produced classics like "Dry Your Eyes," "Fit But You Know It," and "Blinded By The Lights." In 2023, he released his cinematic album project "The Darker The Shadow, The Brighter The Light," a noir musical that he wrote, directed, and scored himself - another chapter in his tireless play with form, language, and sound. In parallel, he worked on music for film, advertising, and television, and performed at selected festivals and club nights, always with boundless energy and charismatic stage presence.
Since his debut "Original Pirate Material" (2002), Skinner has been regarded as a poetic chronicler of urban culture, bringing British rap, garage, and grime far beyond their scene boundaries. All events at the Open Air Linz AG FrischLuft-Bühne will take place outdoors regardless of the weather. In case of rain, we kindly ask attendees to bring their own rain gear. A limited number of rain ponchos will be available on site. In the event of thunderstorms and storms, the event must be canceled or interrupted. If a cancellation is deemed necessary in advance, it will be promptly announced on the Posthof website and on our social media channels.
