Shakespeare's Dream

After the great success of Sleeping Beauty, Andrey Kaydanovskiy returns to TANZ LINZ with a new creation. The internationally renowned choreographer dedicates this new work to William Shakespeare – not only as an author but also as a multifaceted artistic figure. While Shakespeare's works and texts are well documented and traceable in many cases, the origin of his inspiration remains a mysterious and fascinating puzzle.

Kaydanovskiy, known for his narrative sensibility, uses the murders in Shakespeare's works as a starting point. With humor and irony, he creates a dance piece that balances between reality and fiction, illuminating human passions. It questions the relationship between artist and art, as well as humanity's willingness to believe in stories.
