DEUCE Tour 2026
The Grammy-nominated musicians Manu Delago and Max ZT have formed a new duo that re-explores the sonic possibilities of their instruments, the handpan and the dulcimer. A refined compositional style meets high improvisational artistry, resulting in impressive and sensual soundscapes, created with sensitivity yet still dynamic. "When I first heard Manu, I was blown away. It was his virtuosity and the unusual way he composes and plays his instrument," explains Max ZT. The duo met nearly ten years ago when Manu Delago was on a tour in the USA. "At our first concert in New York in 2019, we mostly improvised, but over the years, spontaneous ideas have turned into complete compositions. Last year, we finally found the perfect time and place to record the music - an impressive 18th-century space in an even older monastery in the Tyrolean Alps. A duo facing each other, both members just turned 40? We simply had to name the album DEUCE," recalls Manu Delago.
The composer and percussionist has already performed in over 50 countries. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Björk, Anoushka Shankar, and The Cinematic Orchestra. As a soloist, he has performed with the Metropole Orkest and the London Symphony Orchestra, among others. In his multiple award-winning music film PARASOL PEAK, Manu Delago leads his seven-member ensemble on a mountain expedition. In 2021 and 2023, the adventurous musician launched the ReCycling Tour, a sustainable concert tour by bicycle, during which his band and crew cycled 1500 kilometers through Europe.
Max ZT, celebrated as "the Jimi Hendrix of the dulcimer" (NPR), has redefined the playing style of his instrument through decades of experience and much innovation, incorporating various traditions from Africa to India into his studies. The Brooklyn-based musician is a founding member of 'House of Waters' and has released eight albums on Snarky Puppy’s GroundUP Music label.
Manu Delago and Max ZT will release their debut album DEUCE in early 2026, followed by a worldwide concert tour. From the very first note, concertgoers will be transported into a world that feels both ancient and somehow completely new.
