Koehne Quartet & Karl Eichinger - Gershwin

The American magazine Fanfare hailed Karl Eichinger as "... who may just be the latest incarnation of Gershwin's 'to-go' interpreter," and thus George Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F, Philip Glass's String Quartet No. 5, and Melissa Coleman's Tango Ador are featured in the program, performed by the Koehne Quartet with Ciro Vigilante on double bass and Karl Eichinger on piano, all of whom are internationally renowned musicians known for their cross-genre interpretations.

Tango Ador
The Koehne Quartet, consisting of Joanna Lewis (violin), Anne Harvey-Nagl (violin), Lena Fankhauser (viola), and Melissa Coleman (cello), expands to a quintet with Ciro Vigilante on double bass. At the piano is Karl Eichinger – all have earned an international reputation for their cross-genre interpretations. Tango Ador, a composition by Melissa Coleman, lends its name to the program featuring works by George Gershwin, Melissa Coleman, and Philip Glass.
