Once upon a time, there was an opera singer. He had two students, one of whom was a pop entertainer, and the other a cabaret artist. And because they loved to sing so much, and because they adored the Christmas holiday, and because they were all three fathers and such childish dogs, they made a decision:
"Let's have a song evening together!"
"Great, and what will we sing, Mr. Teacher?"
"Everything, everything that is fun for us and the audience!
Three-part, two-part, solo, quodlibet, canons... or is it canons?"
"The plural of canon is canon?"
"Very imaginative, Mr. Teacher, and what is a quodlibet?"
"It doesn't matter, let's just trill, flutter, chirp, whistle, bellow, and whisper!"
"And we want to tell jokes too!"
"Three-part joke telling... Mr. Teacher, we can do that!"
They can expect a parade of the most colorful melodies, quotes from musicals to film music, from chorales to Schubert songs, from Viennese songs to folk dances, from hits to arias!
"And also a few numbers of our own!"
"Everything that can be sung in three parts."
"And anyone who knows it, sing along!"
"And of course, the cabaret artist will also have his say!"
Absolutely! The fun shouldn't be short!
And the three gentlemen will be accompanied at the piano.
"What kind of piano? Is that the one in the boxes?"
"Nonsense!"
Have fun with Herbert Steinböck feat. The 3 BariTöne!
