The QUARTA 4 Countries Youth Philharmonic presents Grieg & Vivaldi. A musical highlight in February.

Following the celebrated concerts in September, which sparked true waves of enthusiasm among the audience and in the press, the QUARTA 4 Countries Youth Philharmonic returns in February with its popular chamber orchestra production QUARTA 1/4. The ensemble, which brings together young talents from four countries and is known for its energetic and highly musical performances, invites you to another highlight of the season.

The program features two masterpieces that, despite their different eras, wonderfully correspond in their liveliness:
Edvard Grieg – From Holberg's Time op. 40
An elegant, stylistically baroque work full of Nordic colors and rhythmic lightness – a brilliant showcase piece for strings.
Antonio Vivaldi – The Four Seasons op. 8
The famous cycle, which, with its vivid musical language, virtuosity, and emotional intensity, remains one of the most popular works of the Baroque period to this day.

Under the direction of Christoph Eberle, the young musicians will once again demonstrate the extraordinary level they have already achieved. Precision, joy of playing, and infectious energy characterize the performances of the youth philharmonic – qualities that recently earned them a standing ovation and are now expected once again.
