With the incredibly lifelike portrayal of Chief Inspector Trautmann, chamber actor Wolfgang Böck has written a piece of local TV history. A film character that, even after numerous reruns, has not lost any of its incredible popularity. The Vienna police even respectfully appointed the audience favorite as an "Honorary Kieberer."

However, the new stage program "Trautmann Laughs" aims to prove that daily police work is not just about murder, robbery, and other gruesome crimes. In fact, true events, as well as funny anecdotes written by great humorists, demonstrate both the occasionally warm-hearted approach of uniformed officers to curious incidents and that law enforcement officials do not prohibit laughter on duty and can sometimes even laugh at themselves with a hearty wink.

Wolfgang Böck has gathered stories and anecdotes over months of "criminal" fine-tuning that not only guarantee 70 minutes of hearty laughter but also offer a brief yet highly interesting glimpse into the history of law enforcement.

Biography of Chamber Actor Wolfgang Böck

Born in Linz on January 14, 1953, he received his first theater engagement in Bregenz. After numerous roles in his hometown of Linz, he went on to perform in Vienna at the Volkstheater and in the Josefstadt, at the Schauspielhaus Zurich, at the Renaissance Theater in Berlin, at the Graz Opera House, and at the Salzburg Festival. Together with his colleague Adi Hirschal, he conceived "Die Strizzilieder," a musical journey through the suburbs of Vienna.

He became widely known throughout Austria primarily through the ORF series "Kaisermühlen-Blues," where he played the policeman Trautmann. After the series ended, Trautmann was transferred, leading to a new TV series titled "Trautmann."
