In the episodes of his Atlas of an Anxious Man, Ransmayr takes us to distant and familiar landscapes, to people he has encountered on his travels – those who have helped, threatened, protected, or loved him. Thus, a mosaic of narratives emerges that makes the world newly experienceable in poetic clarity and with quiet intensity.

Alongside him, Wolfgang Muthspiel, one of the most significant jazz guitarists of our time, opens the musical space. His playing responds to Ransmayr's words, carries them forward, and lets them resonate – sometimes delicately and tentatively, then again broadly and full of luminous resonance. What remains is an evening in which word and sound permeate each other: a journey through memory, imagination, and the world, between contemplation and beauty – carried by two great voices of their art.
