The Petaw Band takes its audience on a musical journey through West Africa, South America, and Europe.
Six musicians from three continents create a danceable sound that incorporates traditional and modern influences from West Africa and Latin America, turning them into something unique.
"Petaw" means cowrie shell in the West African language Wolof – a symbol of exchange and connection. This is exactly what the band stands for: music as a shared experience and part of cultural heritage.
At festivals like Kasumama or the Africa Days, the Petaw Band has already demonstrated how much their music excites people. Now, they will perform live with us.
