Ghost - Message from Sam

With the musical adaptation of the Oscar-winning Hollywood blockbuster "GHOST - Message from Sam," one of the greatest love stories of all time will be on the program at the Felsenbühne Staatz in the summer of 2026. The creative team of Bruce Joel Rubin, Dave Stewart (the mastermind behind the Eurythmics), and Glen Ballard has transformed the touching and gripping film story into a musical, which of course includes the hit "Unchained Melody." Sam Wheat is a successful banker who leads a happy life with his girlfriend Molly Jensen. One evening, Sam is fatally injured during a robbery. However, his soul remains as a ghost in the world of the living—unable to communicate with or protect Molly. When Sam discovers that his death was not an accident but part of a conspiracy, he tries to warn Molly. Since he cannot speak to her himself, he seeks help from the seemingly dubious medium Oda Mae Brown, who surprisingly can actually make contact with spirits. Together, they attempt to expose the perpetrator and save Molly from further danger... Artistic director and director Werner Auer and his team will stage this gripping piece once again in the impressive open-air setting of the Felsenbühne Staatz!
