The four young musicians from Bavaria realize their very own vision of new folk music. Traditions are softened to allow for the emergence of new forms and extraordinary ideas. Through the unique instrumentation of tuba, guitar, violin, and Styrian harmonica, new sound colors are discovered, and compositions are created that blend elements of folk music with jazz harmonies, invigorate classical music with pulsating rhythms, and mix the familiar with the foreign. This creates a tension that keeps the joy of listening alive! "NAU" – the current album and program of the ensemble – is music that has been missing not only in Bavaria but far beyond: charming, light-footed, and filled with extraordinary ideas that break clichés and interpret folk music in a completely new way. In the improvisations, jazz shines through, in the flawless interplay, classical training is evident, and in the diverse echoes, the broad horizon of four global citizens is reflected, who are simultaneously deeply rooted in their homeland. This music defies any simple categorization and creates a delightful auditory confusion.
