Gate at 7: #Belonging | Where the soul takes root

Vilma von Webenau's premiere of her Symphony for String Orchestra after nearly 100 (!) years, Mozart's touching Clarinet Concerto, interpreted by Matthias Schorn, principal clarinetist of the Vienna Philharmonic, and an orchestral tribute to the South African singer Miriam Makeba tell of the search for a place where people truly want to belong. As Makeba herself said, this requires "courage, hope, and sincere love."

Thu 6:30 PM in the ground floor of the gatehouse. Ali Delangiz, a member of the Pforte Chamber Orchestra Plus, played only Persian music on his violin until he turned 18. Then he set out to explore the world of classical music. As a person deeply rooted in the history and traditions of Persian high culture, he speaks about his personal experiences on the topic of belonging.
