With her new album, Norwegian singer-songwriter Rebekka Bakken returns to her roots. "NORD is where I return to the folk hymns of my childhood, and from that tradition create something new—music that is rooted in the past, but searching for a wider horizon," says the charismatic singer, whose voice spans over three octaves. Her music is influenced by jazz and also draws inspiration from Scandinavian folk music in these new songs. Her strength lies in her unique ability to fully embody the different roles that her songs demand. After spending several years in New York, Vienna, and Sweden, Rebekka Bakken is back in her home country of Norway. She has been awarded the Gold Record in Germany three times in a row and has received the Austrian Amadeus Award twice. She is coming with her band to honor Klagenfurt with an unforgettable concert.
