One of the biggest voices (and smallest bodies) in rock music belongs to Keith Caputo from Brooklyn. After building a huge fan base as the singer of the world-famous rock alt/metal band Life of Agony, Caputo has earned a reputation for touching listeners deep within their souls with his poetry; his heartbreaking live performances are well-deserved: within a single show, he is capable of igniting mosh pits the size of arenas while simultaneously creating breathless silence. Over the past twenty years, Caputo has recorded sixteen diverse and influential albums—excluding demos, live recordings, or EPs—with an impressive lineup of industry veterans, including bassist and trumpeter Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), guitarist Craig Ross (Lenny Kravitz, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow), pianist Zac Rae (Fiona Apple, Miley Cyrus, Annie Lennox), producer Martyn Lenoble (Jane’s Addiction, Scott Weiland, Porno for Pyros, Mark Lanegan, The Cult), mixer Greg Fidelman (Rage Against The Machine, Marilyn Manson, Johnny Cash), mixer Mike Shipley (The Cars, Queen, Aerosmith, Joni Mitchell), and most recently, producers Sylvia Massey (Tool, Life of Agony, System of a Down) and Joey Z. for the 2019 Life of Agony release "The Sound of Scars." On the festival circuit, he has shared the stage with a variety of genre titans, including Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails, Björk, David Bowie, Pixies, Velvet Revolver, Bush, Slipknot, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Modest Mouse, Aphex Twin, Foo Fighters, and many more. With distinct influences ranging from Led Zeppelin and The Doors to Arthur Rimbaud and William S. Burroughs, Keith does not shy away from new musical territories, as evidenced by his recent releases: "A Fondness for Hometown Scars," "As Much Truth as One Can Bear," and "Love Hard."

Keith has also frequently collaborated with Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist and producer Andy Kravitz (Cypress Hill, Billy Joel, Imogen Heap, Julianna Hatfield), whom he met in the late 1990s during the recording sessions for Life of Agony's "Soul Searching Sun." Kravitz was co-producer and heavily involved in his last two albums "Love Hard" and "As Much Truth as One Can Bear," as well as in his ambient geek-rock duo side project with Ryan Oldcastle as The Neptune Darlings, which produced the two releases "Chestnuts and Fireflies" and "Principium Sequentia."

Obsessed with hard truths, Caputo remains a fearless conqueror of his own pain. Orphaned by heroin-addicted parents, Keith had to grow up in a dark world of poverty, violence, and crime. And although themes such as abuse and abandonment may seem familiar to those who follow his work, Caputo sheds innovative new light on these topics with each song. As unorthodox as his lyrical content may sometimes be, the most surprising aspect of Caputo is his immortal romanticism—his unwavering insistence on seeing the silver lining in every cloud. As Keith himself says: "From my own feelings of uprootedness, dissatisfaction, and longing springs a vast sea of compassion."
