An extraordinary musical encounter connects Johannes Brahms’ String Sextet No. 2 in G major with contemporary arrangements by South African jazz musician and singer Mandisi Dyantyis. Two continents, two styles, two eras reveal themselves in a touching shared soundscape. The concept of Ubuntu – I am because you are – allows for a concert experience that transcends language, genre, and origin.
