This visit to Hirsau includes the Aurelius Church and the monastery museum with selected exhibits. This tour goes back 1200 years to the first Hirsau monasteries dedicated to Saint Aurelius. Who was this saint and how did he come to be venerated in the Black Forest? And how did the powerful Peter and Paul Monastery develop from the Aurelius Monastery, becoming one of the centers of power in the Middle Ages?
