This tour of Hirsau takes you to the Aurelius Church and the monastery museum to see selected exhibits. The tour goes back 1,200 years to the first monasteries in Hirsau dedicated to Saint Aurelius. Who was this saint and how did he come to be venerated in the Black Forest? And how did the Aurelius monastery develop into the powerful Peter and Paul monastery, one of the centers of power in the Middle Ages? **Registration with the Calw Tourist Information Office (phone 07051 167399) is required!**
