The Friends of the Open-Air Museum Klausenhof invite you to the traditional "Harvest Market on the Hotzenwald." Both exhibitors and visitors will be equally delighted. From 11 AM to 5 PM, 50 stalls will showcase their regional products from agriculture, customs, and crafts around the Klausenhof in Großherrischwand. Demonstrations will enrich the market offerings. For example, the old craft of blacksmithing will be demonstrated in the Klausenhof forge, and visitors can watch the art of turning or learn how to felt. The glassblower will have his workshop open for demonstrations and exhibitions, while the baker will offer freshly baked wood-fired breads and rolls from the bakehouse on the Klausenhof grounds. Children will be shown how to make herbal salt. The exhibitors, including local farmers, Hauber's specialties, the Sonnenbühl kindergarten, and Britta's kiosk café, will serve irresistibly hearty and sweet regional treats at various stalls. The diversity of the harvest season offers a rich agricultural selection with cheese and sausage specialties, a colorful array of fruits and vegetables, wood-fired bread, Hildabrötchen, pastries, sauerkraut, herbal vinegar and oil, wild herbs, onion thin cakes, Waien, honey, jams, herbal teas, mead, sweet cider, fine spirits, liqueurs, syrup, chocolates, and many more delicacies... The traditional and modern crafts will also showcase their diverse sides: glass art, ceramics, wooden crafts of all kinds, wicker goods, light houses, arrangements, wreaths, decorative items, felt, jewelry variations, garden decorations made of metal and concrete, bags made from coffee sacks, upcycled jewelry, sewn, knitted, embroidered, and crocheted items, including Black Forest hats, hand-dyed wool, baby and children's clothing, fashionable accessories, pillows filled with grape seeds, spelt, and millet, soap, macramé, greeting cards, surprise bags, ... It is definitely worth it again this year - a Sunday outing for the whole family.
