The Klausenhof Open-Air Museum Association invites you to the traditional "Harvest Market in the Hotzenwald Forest." Exhibitors and visitors alike will enjoy this event. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., 50 stands will present their regional products from agriculture, customs, and handicrafts around the Klausenhof in Großherrischwand. Demonstrations will enrich the market offerings.
For example, the ancient craft of blacksmithing will be demonstrated in the Klausenhof smithy, as will woodturning, and visitors can learn about the art of felting. The glassblower will open his workshop for demonstrations and exhibitions, and the baker will offer freshly baked wood-fired bread and rolls from the Klausenhof bakery. Children will be shown how to make their own herbal salt. The exhibitors, the country women, Haubers Spezialitäten, the Sonnenbühl kindergarten, and Britta's kiosk café serve irresistible savory and sweet treats from the region at various stands. The diversity of the harvest season offers a rich agricultural selection with cheese and sausage specialties, the whole colorful range of fruits and vegetables, wood-fired bread, Hildabrötchen rolls, pastries, sauerkraut, herb vinegar and oil, wild herbs, onion rings, Waien, honey, jams, herbal teas, mead, sweet cider, fine spirits, liqueurs, syrup, pralines, and many more delicacies...
Traditional and modern arts and crafts are also on display in all their diversity: glass art, ceramics, all kinds of woodwork, basketry, lanterns, flower arrangements, wreaths, decorative items, felt, jewelry, metal and concrete garden decorations, bags made from coffee sacks, upcycled jewelry, sewn, knitted, embroidered, and crocheted items, including Black Forest hats, hand-dyed wool, baby and children's clothing, fashionable accessories, grape seed, spelt, and millet pillows, soap, macramé, greeting cards, surprise bags, and more.
