Sunday Matinee - The Craic

The three musicians have had a lot of fun with Irish and Scottish folk music over the past few years and have celebrated it together. CRAIC - having joy and fun - is a well-established term in Ireland. The band's focus is on traditional Celtic folk music with songs, jigs, and reels, as well as folk music from other parts of Europe. True to the Irish tradition, the band arranges tunes and songs that they like, which they have picked up or learned from musician friends and bands. This results in very individual versions of "same, same, but different." Sometimes, a Scottish pipe tune originally composed for 120 bagpipes ends up in an arrangement for flute/whistle, accordion, and guitar. Let yourself be surprised: "You may know the song or the tune, but may not know the sound..."
