Additionally, the exhibition "Between Writing and Line - Facsimiles of Paper Works by Otto Dix" is being shown. The Haus Dix Museum presents the exhibition "Inner Emigration: Otto Dix and the Political Landscape." The focus is on the landscape paintings created near Lake Constance by Otto Dix, from which connections are drawn to the Dix couple and their family life in Höri, as well as to the political circumstances. Dix's artistic work was directly influenced from 1933 by the National Socialists' order for his dismissal from his professorship in painting at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and the condemnation of his work as "degenerate art." His turn towards a particular, political landscape painting is the subject of the presentation in Otto Dix's studio. The house built through an inheritance from Martha Dix, serving as the family's center of life in Hemmenhofen, and her position as a builder in the mid-1930s are depicted in the Salon Martha Dix. The exhibition was curated by Ina Jessen, an art historian and Otto Dix expert, in collaboration with Dierk Höhne, curator at the Stuttgart Art Museum.
