The century's violinist Fritz Kreisler in the mirror of his contemporary Hermann Hesse

Scenic-musical reading with Graziella Rossi (voice), Helmut Vogel (voice), Noëlle Grüëbler (violin), and Andrea Wiesli (piano) Hermann Hesse attended a concert by the famous violinist Fritz Kreisler at the Tonhalle in Zurich and was so captivated that he literary processed the experience in 1928 in his essay "Virtuosen-Konzert." Inspired by this narrative, Armin Brunner (formerly head of the editorial team at SRF) developed a program that is presented with great spirit by Graziella Rossi and Helmut Vogel as speakers, accompanied musically by Noëlle Grüëbler (violin) and Andrea Wiesli (piano) with works by Kreisler, Beethoven, Massenet, among others. The audience can expect a scenic-musical evening between poetry and truth. "Last night I was at a concert that was fundamentally different from the concerts I am used to hearing. It was the concert of a world-famous, cosmopolitan violin virtuoso, thus not only a musical affair but also a sporting and above all a social event. This concert indeed unfolded quite differently than other concerts that are merely about music."
