The Meßkirch Castle Christmas Market will take place from Saturday, November 29 to Sunday, November 30, 2025. Festively decorated stalls invite visitors to stroll and linger. Surrounded by Meßkirch Castle, the charmingly arranged stalls enchant both young and old visitors with their atmospheric lighting. Artists, craftsmen, and vendors present intricately designed specialties, gifts, and festive decorations for the whole family. Local clubs and businesses will treat visitors to a wide range of culinary delights: from sweet Christmas pastries to fragrant waffles, hearty grilled sausages, warm "Seelen," Pinsa Romana, wild burgers, freshly prepared Flammkuchen, and many other delicacies. Families and children can look forward to a visit from St. Nicholas, donkey rides, a puppet theater from the kindergarten "Kindernest," and a colorful interactive program in the museum cellar. The puppet theater will be performed twice a day in the seminar room. In the museum cellar (park wing), young market visitors can unleash their creativity by building tin lanterns and punching leather. In addition to the crafting activities, there will be a gift-seeking game with great prizes. On Sunday, visitors can ride on the funny long-eared donkeys and sheep from the Boll donkey and sheep farm or take a ride in the donkey cart. St. Nicholas will visit the market on both days and has treats for the children. In the tower room of the castle, the Campus Galli board game by HUCH! can be played, and a monastery can be built according to the St. Gallen monastery plan. In the beautiful ambiance of the castle's festive hall, the Kreutzer choir will delight market visitors with coffee and cake. The café invites guests to take a sweet break from their market stroll and warm up. The museums in the castle will also be open during the Castle Christmas Market. The new special exhibition in the Kreisgalerie Schloss Meßkirch, titled "LandLeben – Mensch. Natur. Heimat" (Country Life – People. Nature. Home), showcases various aspects of life in the countryside, particularly in the Sigmaringen district. The Meßkirch artist Ingeborg Geng and her painter friends will exhibit their works again in the castle cellar, and on Sunday, the library team will hold a book sale in the hall. The Boll church choir will entice visitors at the Herz-Jesu-Heim with an Advent sale and coffee/cake. The brass choir, the district senior orchestra, and the Meßkirch alphorn players will create a festive atmosphere with their performances. More information about the history of St. Martin's Church can be learned during a church tour on Sunday at 3 PM. The city of Meßkirch warmly invites all citizens and guests from near and far to visit the Meßkirch Castle Christmas Market and spend cozy hours in the wonderful castle ambiance! By the way: The Biberbahn will operate on November 29 between Stockach-Meßkirch-Mengen and on December 7 between Radolfzell-Stockach-Mengen with historic railcars/rail buses.
