Whether it's the rainbow, the iridescent wings of a butterfly, or a flock of birds: natural phenomena greet us day by day. In our new special exhibition, we direct your gaze towards them and delve into their essence. In "Nature.Show.Plays," we bring together art and science. Various spatial installations create a completely different approach to the phenomena, impressively linking art, science, and technology. Everything can be a mirror! This idea is explored by New York artist Daniel Rozin. The art installations Angles Mirror (2013) and Self Centered Mirror (2024) respond to the viewer and only reveal their full potential through interaction. Reuben Margolin, an American artist, is known for his kinetic sculptures. He was also inspired by movements in nature for the large-scale, wave-like installation Filament (2022). Playing and experimenting are at the forefront of the 20 interactive stations in the special exhibition Nature.Show.Plays. For those who want to learn more about the phenomena, additional explanations and historical references are available. Audio contributions feature people who encounter the displayed phenomena in their daily lives – from soccer players to researchers. But there is also space for reflection. Take a seat and let the luminous color play of the Northern Lights, shining high above your head on the walls, take effect on you.
