78th Hans Thoma Festival

We cordially invite you to this year's Hans-Thoma Festival. With plenty of music, a festive parade, and dancing, Bernau will celebrate the 78th Hans-Thoma Festival from Friday, August 8th to Monday, August 11th. The PRELIMINARY program for the Hans-Thoma Festival 2026 is as follows:

Saturday, August 8, 2026:
7:00 PM: Festival kickoff: Tapping of the keg with Mayor Alexander Schönemann
7:30 PM: Traditional Heimatabend with the Trachtenkapelle-Music Association Bernau-Außertal and the Bernau Tracht group and their youth jazz dance group
9:00 PM: Party evening with the DORFROCKERS (Information about ticket pre-sales to follow)

Sunday, August 9, 2026:
9:45 AM: Joint procession from the spa park to the church
10:00 AM: Ecumenical service with the church choir at St. Johann parish church
11:00 AM: Morning concert in the festival tent
1:30 PM: Hans-Thoma birthplace in the district of Oberlehen opens
2:00 PM: Festive parade and afternoon festivities

Monday, August 10, 2026:
2:30 PM: Children's afternoon in the festival tent
4:00 PM: Craftsmen's gathering
6:00 PM: Festival conclusion with a band
