Action Day Around the Cultural Asset of Traditional Orchards The traditional event offers many hands-on activities – whether it's apple juice production, making applesauce, or drying fruits, the whole family can get involved! Fun for the entire family! The traditional "Moschtfescht" has been attracting numerous visitors to the open-air museum since 1996. The Beuren Open-Air Museum is located amidst traditional orchards. At numerous stations, fruit processing is the focus. Produce juice with a fruit mill and fruit press, cook applesauce on a wood-fired stove, and prepare delicious and healthy snacks at the fruit dryer in the baking and washing house from Sielmingen. Your participation is also needed in the apple peeling competition of the Swabian Traditional Orchard Paradise! You can take home apple juice, jelly, and fruit from the museum village, as well as tips on caring for traditional orchards and fruit trees. A special attraction is the variety exhibition featuring numerous regional apple and pear varieties in the sheep barn from Schlaitdorf. Collaborations The "Moschtfescht" takes place in cooperation with the Swabian Traditional Orchard Paradise (www.streuobstparadies), the district associations of the fruit and horticultural societies of Esslingen (www.kov-esslingen.de) and Nürtingen (www.kov-nuertingen.de), as well as the fruit and horticultural advisory service of the Esslingen district.
