### **Action day focusing on the cultural heritage of orchards** This traditional event offers lots of hands-on activities—whether it's making apple juice, cooking apple sauce, or drying apples, the whole family can get involved! ### Fun for the whole family! The traditional "Moschtfescht" has been attracting numerous visitors to the open-air museum every year since 1996. The Beuren Open-Air Museum is surrounded by orchards. Fruit processing is the focus at numerous stations. Make juice with a fruit mill and fruit press, cook apple sauce on a wood-fired stove, and prepare delicious and healthy snacks at the fruit dryer in the bakery and wash house in Sielmingen. Your participation is also required in the apple peeling competition of the Swabian Streuobstparadies (orchard paradise)! You can take home apple juice, jelly, and fruit from the museum village, as well as tips on caring for orchards and fruit trees. A special attraction is the variety exhibition with numerous regional apple and pear varieties in the sheep barn from Schlaitdorf. ### Collaborations The "Moschtfescht" is held in cooperation with the Swabian Orchard Paradise (www.streuobstparadies), the district associations of fruit and horticultural societies in Esslingen (www.kov-esslingen.de) and Nürtingen (www.kov-nuertingen.de), and the fruit and horticultural advisory service of the Esslingen district.
