Fabien is actually looking forward to the best evening of the year. Following a long-standing tradition, he plans to watch the French Open final with his best friends, the twins Eric and Jérôme, and enjoy a couple of bottles of wine with it. But then Eric shows up an hour early because he absolutely wants to speak to Fabien alone to confide a secret. This secret, Eric announces, will fundamentally change not only his life, but also that of his twin brother and his brother’s wife, Juliette. But then Eric shows up an hour early because he desperately wants to speak to Fabien alone to confide a secret. This secret will fundamentally change not only his life, but also that of his twin brother and his brother’s wife, Juliette, Eric announces. But under no circumstances must Fabien tell anyone about it, and above all, he must not let on to Jérôme during the tennis match. Fabien senses that he’s about to face a deep moral dilemma and asks Eric to keep everything to himself. But his friend can’t be stopped; he spills everything and then quickly disappears. Because he doesn’t want to run into his brother under any circumstances. But a secret rarely comes alone. Shortly thereafter, Jérôme shows up earlier than planned to share something equally confidential and far-reaching with Fabien. Bound by a sworn oath of friendship to keep both brothers’ secrets, Fabien tries to preserve the secrets, find a way out of this predicament, and persuade the brothers to finally be open with one another. "Secrets" by Sébastien Blanc is an intimate comedy with impeccable timing about lies and truth, rivalry and loyalty among friends—and brothers. The play offers showcase roles for two actors.
