On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Kurhaus Dobel will once again be transformed into a cinema – featuring two films for different age groups and plenty of entertainment on the big screen! At 4:00 PM, the family and children's cinema will kick off with the film "Max and the Wild 7 – The Ghost Grandma" (rated 6). Ten-year-old Max lives in the senior residence Burg Geroldseck – and finds friends there that one could only wish for: Vera, Horst, and Kilian from table number 7 are retirees, but far from boring! Together, they embark on an exciting adventure full of puzzles, challenges, and teamwork. It starts to get spooky in the castle, and on top of that, Max and his unusual crew must also win a soccer game! An exhilarating film about friendship, solidarity, and courage – with plenty of humor, heart, and excitement for both children and adults. Entry: €4.00 (rated 6).

At 7:00 PM, the stage will be set for the cult classic "The Shoe of Manitou" – pardon – "The Canoe of Manitou" (rated 6)! Abahachi (Michael Bully Herbig) and his white blood brother Ranger (Christian Tramitz) find themselves in a turbulent adventure full of quirky characters, clever wordplay, and wild Western parodies. Together with their friends Dimitri (Rick Kavanian) and Mary (Jasmin Schwiers), they fight for justice – and of course for the legendary canoe of Manitou.
