Torch run and torch fire

To get into the mood for New Year's Eve, the volunteer fire department of Zwerenberg is organizing the traditional torch run through the village. This romantic walk with torches (available for purchase on-site) is aimed at those who want to enjoy some fresh air before the long night ahead. The torch procession around the village starts at 7:30 PM behind the church in the town center. At the torch site, the firefighters have stacked a huge pile of wood, which will be ignited by the torchbearers and will soon burn with roaring, brightly shining flames. The local fire department will be offering mulled wine and punch, as well as grilled sausages for sale starting at 6:30 PM, and invites everyone to enjoy a wonderful atmosphere to conclude the year by the warming fire.
