Ladwig's Jatzkapelle – The World of Louis Armstrong

Cultural initiative Sipplingen presents: Uwe Ladwig takes you on a journey with his jazz band in "The Wonderful World of Louis Armstrong" and uncovers not only jazz standards from the time of the famous musician but also interesting, sometimes amusing stories from his life. Louis Armstrong, known as "Satchmo," grows up in the streets of the red-light and underworld milieu of New Orleans and even ends up in a reform school before he revolutionizes the emerging jazz music. His talents as a musician, singer, showman, and composer subsequently bring jazz to the entire world. Jazz archaeologist and tour guide Uwe Ladwig, regionally known for the series "Jazz und Dünnele," entertainingly and informatively brings the life and times of the genius Satchmo back to life and fills the town hall cellar with Armstrong's retro jazz alongside his skilled fellow musicians. In addition to Uwe Ladwig (bass saxophone, small percussion, conference), Philipp Rellstab (trumpet, vocals), Daniel Beurer (guitar, banjo), and Martin Giebel (piano) will perform, guaranteeing the Sipplingen audience a wonderfully diverse and entertaining evening!
