Markgräfler Art Prize 2025 - Gabriela Morschett: Thinking

The Markgräfler Art Prize 2025, awarded by the Foundation of the Sparkasse Markgräflerland to promote art and culture, goes to the Müllheim artist Gabriela Morschett. In her exhibition, she presents recent drawings and sculptures, as well as a retrospective of her etchings from the last thirty years. The black line is her most important means of expression; most of her works are deep black and rich in contrast, even in their finest weavings, showcasing high brilliance. Her abstract line formations can be interpreted as thought patterns and mental images. The Markgräfler Art Prize, endowed with 5,000 euros, is awarded every one to two years to regional artists. The opening reception with the award ceremony will take place on November 12. A catalog will be published for the exhibition.
