Concert with the ArtPop band "Wonderful Cat"

The ArtPop band "Wunderbare Katze," which first made its musical debut years ago in Calw, back then still at Café Kult, is returning to the birthplace of Hermann Hesse to present their latest compositions. For their current album PARLEZ-MOI D‘AMOUR (speak to me of love), the ArtPop band Wunderbare Katze has encapsulated various situations into songs and recorded them in a ping-pong manner. The project name was the Swabian term Bodde, as in the childhood game of tag. This term stands for a safe place. The lyrics, very English, very poetic, and with a distinctly female perspective, explore how friendship, closeness and distance, kindness and serenity can be achieved. Themes in the songs include security, love for the next person, youth firmly in the grip of smartphones, powdery snow, speechlessness, the brief arc of life, and the uniqueness of a kiss. Virtuoso guitar play, extraordinary vocals, and an unorthodox drum set are the band’s trademarks, and what is referred to as Art Pop here is that which does not want or can be categorized into one of the common stylistic boxes. Exciting! Colorful! Multifaceted! Empowering and encouraging! Sometimes emulsion, sometimes explosion!
