Concert with guitarist Aleksi Rajala

The virtuosic guitarist and singer-songwriter Aleksi Rajala hails from Finland and has found a new home in Germany. There, he not only creates wonderful music—either alone or with colleagues—but also takes a closer look at various topics... Aleksi Rajala—a groovy, virtuosic, and soulful singer-songwriter as well as a fingerstyle guitarist—comes from Finland, the country that has been named the happiest in the world for the seventh consecutive time. And what does a Finn do after living in Germany for seven years and feeling homesick? That's right, he goes to the sauna. He processes all his emotions in his music—and he wonders if Finns might be so happy because he has moved away. After studying at the renowned Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich, Aleksi won numerous international competitions and has since showcased his musical finesse around the world—in various musical projects, as he has demonstrated multiple times during concerts with bassist Florian Dohrmann or singer Pauline Ruhe at the Kultur-Apotheke. This time, the guitarist, who also works as a dentist, will likely return with a double feature to the small cultural house in the upper Calwer marketplace. He will perform part of the program solo, and the second part will likely be presented with his new band.
