A tour with Andreas Schuller The intensive use of the Enz made Vaihingen a metropolis of leather craftsmanship for centuries. Up to 28 tanners practiced the lucrative trade simultaneously along the old mill canal. For a long time, Vaihingen was one of the leading tanning cities in Württemberg. What did the city look like back then? What has changed? Even today, the name of the street "Im Mühlkanal" is a testament to the old course of the forgotten canal. And some old guild signs indicate a former tanning house. Let's embark on a quest for traces!
