Forest Trail to the Nativity Scene near Oberrot: Nature, Spirituality, Hunting Horn Players & Accordion – Bring lanterns, no registration required. The Forest Christmas at Oberrot/Hohenhardtsweiler offers a unique experience for the whole family on a 1.5-kilometer forest trail to the nativity scene. Unlike traditional Christmas celebrations, this trail combines nature experiences with spiritual reflection: Through lovingly crafted dialogues, visitors learn how closely the lives of plants, animals, and humans are interconnected. The presentations make it clear that Christmas is not just a historical event, but a universally felt experience. The meeting point at the Stiershof Plant School Hut is deliberately chosen to start in the heart of nature. The event is musically accompanied by the hunting horn players of the Schwäbisch Hall District Hunters' Association and the accordion players from Oberrot, adding a special warmth and festivity to the atmosphere. The Forest Christmas is particularly special because participants have the opportunity to bring their own lanterns, torches, or candle holders, making each participant an active contributor to the atmospheric hike. Sturdy footwear is advisable, as the path leads through the forest. The open invitation and the shared experience in nature make the event a relaxed yet profound experience that delights both nature lovers and Christmas enthusiasts alike. This combination of nature, music, community, and spirituality makes the Forest Christmas at Oberrot a special insider tip during the pre-Christmas season.
