Border hike Edelfingen

As part of the event series "Heimat Vor-Ort" in the anniversary year, the "Border Hike" will take place in the district of Edelfingen. The hike is scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2025, at the gymnasium and festival hall in Edelfingen. The meeting point for the border hike is at the gymnasium and festival hall, from where two guided hiking routes will be offered, more or less along the boundary of the district. The guided hiking tours will start at 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM at the gymnasium and festival hall. The East Route, at 8.5 km, is suitable for everyone. The West Route, at 9 km, is more challenging as it involves some elevation gain at the beginning. The hikers will learn a lot of interesting facts from the guides about historical boundary stones, district boundaries, and much more. On the designated family route, which can be navigated with a stroller, fun is guaranteed for both the little ones and the grown-ups. For hungry hikers of all ages, there will be a rich selection of local specialties, freshly tapped beer, delicious wine, and non-alcoholic beverages available at the gymnasium and festival hall. As with every Heimat Vor-Ort event, the Tourist Information Center Bad Mergentheim will open a stand on the topic "50 Years of the Large District Town - Heimat Vor-Ort" in Edelfingen on October 3, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Here, visitors can participate in a stamp campaign and learn more about this event series.
