Update! Review the collection - Scene Change 3

Under the exhibition title "Update! Reassessing the Collection," the Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe presents its holdings with around 200 works by 70 artists in a new light. Across 1,500 square meters of exhibition space, painting, sculpture, graphics, photography, and video art come together for the first time in cross-media and cross-epoch thematic rooms. Works spanning 120 years engage in exciting dialogues and illuminate questions of our immediate present. The tour through the collection highlights various artistic aspects and stories: about personal and collective identity, gender equality, the relationship between nature and sustainability, experiences in home and abroad, rituals, and our social coexistence. Additionally, specially designed artist spaces provide further impulses.
