The guys from Berta Epple have finally made their dream come true and gifted us a sparkling, swinging, and fragrant Christmas program. It was already planned back in the Tango Five days, but it never came to fruition. Now, however, the guys from Berta Epple have finally realized their dream and presented us with a dazzling, swinging, and aromatic Christmas program. The accompanying CD is also “freshly baked” under the tree. Gregor Hübner, Bobbi Fischer, and Veit Hübner have rearranged their personal favorite Christmas songs, some of which have been newly lyricized and harmonized in three parts. The result is a revue where Bavarian devotional yodels stand harmoniously alongside soulful grooves, just like ox and donkey in Bethlehem's stable. Jazz ballads alternate with fervent English anthems. Sometimes in German, sometimes in English, and finally: also in Swabian!
