The best young wind musicians in the country meet once a year for a working phase at the Trossingen Federal Academy. Conducted by Franco Hänle, the best young wind musicians in the country, awarded, honored, and rewarded with scholarships, gather annually for a working phase with their conductor Franco Hänle at the Trossingen Federal Academy for Musical Youth Education. The subsequent New Year's concert has become a celebrated tradition for the Trossingen audience for about 15 years now, and it serves as a successful conclusion for the participants and their parents.
