A road trip through The Länd Everybody Needs Somebody to Love 1979. The brothers Hans and Elmar Eisele – alias "Jake and Elwood Blues" – have made the journey from the boys' choir of a Catholic children's home to becoming celebrities in the Swabian blues music scene. Nevertheless, they are constantly broke and quickly find themselves involved in petty criminal activities. Hans ends up in prison and is picked up by Elmar upon his release. Their first stop is the orphanage of their childhood. There, the Mother Superior has a problem: If she doesn't raise 5,000 marks quickly, the home will have to close due to unpaid tax debts. The brothers want to help – but how can they come by so much money honestly? During a church service, Hans has an epiphany: They just need to reunite their old band, the "Blues Brothers," for a benefit concert. And so, equipped with a rickety moped, the two set off on a legendary musical road trip through the Baden-Württemberg province: pursued by Hans' vengeful ex-girlfriend, they not only clash with a country band but ultimately with all law enforcement officers, causing chaos wherever they go. "We're on a mission from God." With this line, Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi, alias Elwood and Jake Blues, entered film history in 1980. Accompanying the chaotic yet lovable rogues in suits and sunglasses on their mission is simply a blast. The "Blues Brothers" have become a cult classic, not least because of grand musical numbers like "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love," "Think," or "Shake a Tail Feather."
