Traditional slaughter festival

Enjoy boiled pork and fresh sausages, prepared just like in the old days when people used to slaughter their own animals. You can also experience the work that used to be done in the house and on the farm in autumn 100 years ago. And the children can help out with the potato harvest. ### Program - The Bad Schussenried Volunteer Fire Department serves boiled pork and delicious sausages fresh from the pot – just like in the old days of home slaughtering. - Experience traditional autumn work and historical crafts: beer brewing, threshing grain, hauling wood with horses, working on the self-propelled band saw, weaving, basket weaving, cabbage slicing, brush binding, and much more. - Today, our steam engine from 1912 is back in use and powers the historic threshing machine. Take a look at our historic steam distillery! - There is something for every child in our creative hands-on activities. The mini steam trains of the Schwäbischer Eisenbahnverein e.V.
