Max Liebermann, Lovis Corinth, Max Slevogt – The Triumvirate of German Impressionism On the occasion of the exhibition "Impressionism in Germany, Max Liebermann and His Time" at the Frieder Burda Museum, Baden-Baden (October 3, 2025 - February 8, 2026) Inspired by the example of French Impressionism, there were also artists in Wilhelmine Germany who worked in the style of the new plein air painting. Foremost among them is Max Liebermann, who regularly traveled to Holland and was able to observe the lives and work of ordinary people in his paintings. As president of the Berlin Secession, he introduced the German audience to Impressionist luminism. Alongside Max Liebermann, Lovis Corinth and Max Slevogt are considered the artistic elite of German Impressionism. With Dr. Martina Kitzing-Bretz M.A., art historian Course No.: 25205
