Weingarten Season: Chouchane and Astrig Siranossian & Lake Constance Philharmonic

After her wonderful recital, Chouchane Siranossian, the Artist in Residence of the Lake Constance Festival 2024, returns to Weingarten with her sister, the internationally renowned cellist Astrig Siranossian. Both will perform Johannes Brahms' Double Concerto, which not only places virtuosic demands on the solo parts but also requires a great deal of creativity from the interpreters. This creates the impression of something organically grown, naturally breathing. Who could be better suited for this than the internationally successful sisters? In the second part of the romantic concert, the "excellent" Southwest German Philharmonic Orchestra Konstanz, now under its new name Bodensee Philharmonie, will perform Robert Schumann's First Symphony, the "Spring Symphony." True to the romantic maxim that while reason may err, feeling never does, Schumann was inspired by the contemporary poet Adolf Böttger: "O turn, turn your course / In the valley, spring blooms forth."
