Vineyard Tour: Wine Time in Weingarten

Two exclusive tours of the municipal vineyard – In 2000, the tradition of viticulture in Weingarten was resumed with the planting of 150 vines at the foot of the basilica. Viticulture had disappeared in Weingarten about 200 years ago due to the pest "phylloxera," which had destroyed all the vineyards. Today, the entire municipal vineyard consists of over 1,000 Johanniter vines, from which a pleasantly fruity, aromatic wine is produced. The Friends of the Vineyard invite you to two tours, during which the history and present will be illuminated, and of course, there will be a tasting of this harmonious and fragrant fresh wine, which cannot be purchased otherwise.
