The market vendors present their products. They are direct marketers, self-producers, hobby artists, and traders from the region. The historic old town of Wertheim will once again transform into a large farmers' market on Sunday, November 2nd. From 12 PM to 5 PM, 45 market vendors from the region and beyond will showcase their diverse offerings. This is accompanied by a Sunday open for shopping in the city center. The Wertheim Farmers' Market – a major attraction in the wider region – is taking place for the 21st time. The market area extends from the Main square through Main and Brückengasse as well as the marketplace to the collegiate church. The offerings range from agricultural products to cheese specialties, game, fish, honey products, baked goods, teas and herbs, spirits, handmade crafts, decorative items, and much more. The Wertheim Farmers' Market is not only a place for shopping but also for exchange and encounters. Here, visitors have the opportunity to engage in conversation with the producers, sample products, learn more about the origins of the products, and be inspired by the manufacturers' passion for their work. A wide selection of food and drink is available. There are various types of coffee at the coffee mobile, non-alcoholic beverages, freshly pressed apple juice, mulled wine, champagne, sparkling wine, and wines, as well as fish sandwiches, crêpes, burgers and fries, pizza, fire sausage, gammler, shashlik, onion steak, spiral potatoes, churros, Turkish pastries, honey waffles, and of course, bratwurst in all possible varieties. The bakery Frischmuth offers onion cake at the marketplace, and the matching wine can be found at Grapes. The local hunting association is represented with its mobile forest school at the marketplace, and the THW (Technical Relief Organization) presents its emergency vehicles. Children can also look forward to a carousel at the Main square. The annual highlight of the farmers' market is the descent of the Wertheim castle goats. Accompanied by the Hasloch fire brigade band, children will lead the goats from the castle over the marketplace to the collegiate church starting at 2 PM. Here, the goats can be petted and fed before they move into their winter quarters. The Main square will also have a lively atmosphere. In addition to knitted, woven, and felt products made from alpaca wool, the "donors" themselves will be present. The alpacas have become a permanent fixture of the farmers' market and are enjoyed year after year by young and old alike. In parallel to the farmers' market, the seventh edition of the seniors' fair will take place in the Main-Tauber-Halle. It is themed "YES to Aging!", with around 30 exhibitors presenting information and offerings from 11 AM to 5 PM. There will also be lunch and a coffee table available. A visit to the museums is also worthwhile on Sunday. The exhibition "The Wertheim Main Bridge in Focus" at the County Museum highlights the eventful history of the Main Bridge between Wertheim and Kreuzwertheim from the first plans in 1362 to the present day. The Glass Museum showcases sparkling glass bead jewelry as well as the exhibition "75 Years of Glass City Wertheim." Additionally, the glassblower will demonstrate his craft.
