Natalia Rose Quartet

The Colombian guitarist Natalia Rose musically describes her multifaceted homeland, drawing inspiration from images, people, and emotions. The result is a blend of soothing melodies and powerful, stirring improvisations. The band is a contemporary jazz quartet led by the guitarist Natalia Rose from Colombia. With a mix of jazz harmonies, melancholic sounds, and traditional Colombian rhythms, her music aims to create a non-musical image in the listener's mind. The group Natalia Rose was founded in September 2016 and recorded its first album titled “Retratos de un Juego de Sombras” (Portraits of a Game of Shadows) at the end of that year, which was released in April 2017. This album is inspired by some photographs taken by Colombian photographer Camila Malaver, which depict the daily life of communities in Barranco de Loba, Bolivar, Colombia.
