New Year's Concert 2026 under the motto "Music in the Metropolises"

The New Year's Concert has been a staple in the cultural calendar of the city of Schramberg for over 20 years, welcoming the new year with good cheer. The symphony orchestra, under the direction of its chief conductor Achim Fiedler, takes the guests of the New Year's Concert on a musical journey to the metropolises of the world. The journey travels from Vienna to Berlin, through Paris and Spain, all the way to America. The VS Symphony Orchestra brings along well-known works by famous composers such as George Gershwin, Maurice Ravel, Paul Lincke, and Jacques Offenbach. The waltzes and polkas of the Strauss dynasty are, of course, essential to a New Year's concert and occupy a significant space in the program.
