Church tours at St. Mary’s Church in Schramberg

Church tour of St. Mary’s Church with Mr. Arnhold Budick. The interior design of St. Mary’s Church in Schramberg is a complete work by sculptor Erich Hauser. On Sunday, September 28, 2025, Arnhold Budick will explain during a church tour how Erich Hauser's church art came to Schramberg's parish church. During his time in Schramberg from 1952 to 1957, several sacred works were created. Among the early works visible in St. Mary’s is the steel cross, which, after a 60-year odyssey, has been back in the church since 2017. With the extensive renovation and redesign by Erich Hauser in 1993/94, one of the few and therefore particularly worthy of preservation late-classical places of worship in Germany received a unique church art. At the end of the tour, Alicia Schultheiß from Waldmössingen will present the Walcker organ. This last church tour of the summer months in 2025 will begin at 5 PM, meeting at the church forecourt. It will last approximately 1 hour and is free of charge.
