NEW YEAR'S CONCERT Organ + Trumpet

Italian and German Masters of the Baroque Duo Hyunjoo Shin (Organ) and Felix Hirn (Trumpet) The trumpeter Felix Hirn, originally from Villingen-Schwenningen, and the South Korean native Hyunjoo Shin have formed a popular duo for organ and trumpet for some time now. The New Year's Eve program particularly features composers of German and Italian Baroque music, such as J.S. Bach, A. Marcello, G-Ph. Telemann, and G.B. Viviani. Felix Hirn has a special connection to Schramberg: from 1991 to 1994, he was a student of the local music school director Meinrad Löffler, who taught the young Villingen trumpeter the musical and technical skills necessary for a successful music study. He writes: "I have known the Walcker organ for a long time by hearsay. Therefore, I am very happy that we can experience the instrument up close this year! With Hyunjoo Shin, I have a great duo partner, who will also perform solo in the concert. For us, it will be a special transition into the new year. We look forward to seeing you!"
