The Forest Festival begins at 11 AM. The traditional Rooster Crowing Contest, which originated out of whim, has been held since 1976. For the annual Rooster Crowing Contest in Raustein Schramberg, roosters that are eager to crow are always sought after. The top 3 places will be awarded a prize. Both purebred and mixed breed roosters in large and bantam sizes can compete. Thus, up to 30 roosters can crow in the available cages. The judging takes place in 2 rounds of 30 minutes each, at 12:30 PM and around 3:30 PM. Interested visitors from near and far are welcome to bring their roosters to the Forest Festival in Raustein Schramberg until 12:00 PM. Our kitchen crew, known beyond the city limits, will treat you to schnitzel, bratwurst, maultaschen, grilled and curry sausages, French fries, and homemade salads, and cakes will be offered during coffee time. The Poultry Breeding Association Schramberg cordially invites the public to this traditional festival at one of the most beautiful forest festival locations in Schramberg. Entertainment will be provided by a free rooster lottery and a lucky wheel, and children's crafts will be available for the kids.
