The behavior of the Klausenbigger.

The traditional Nikolaus group makes its way through the streets, happily seeking entry into homes. When, in the evening, as darkness falls, a Brrrrr... and squeak can be heard, it means the Steinacher Klausenbigger are on their way from house to house with two Nikolaus figures, the Bigger donkey, and the Rubelz. The children are admonished and scolded with a switch or rewarded with sweets, apples, and nuts. This old custom is maintained and preserved by the Historical Association, the fire department, and the music association of Steinach. In the community bulletin, you can find information on where and when the Klausenbigger will be in the village.
