Allotria Jazz Band

Seven excellent soloists perform swing compositions from the early decades of the last century at the highest level. The four-part brass arrangement with two trumpets creates a distinctive sound reminiscent of a small big band. The internationally renowned Allotria Jazz Band from Munich was founded in 1969 and has been one of the most prominent groups in the traditional jazz scene in Germany for many years. In the styles of swing and swinging Dixieland, seven excellent soloists play compositions from the early decades of the past century at the highest level under the trademark "The Fine Notes Of Classic Jazz." In addition to the refined musical personalities of the musicians, the orchestra's own arrangements and the four-part brass section with two trumpets contribute to the unmistakable sound of a small big band. With 21 LP and CD productions over more than five decades, a large number of television and radio recordings, as well as more than 2000 public concerts, the band has a diverse history. The Allotria Jazz Band is Germany's number one export item in "classic jazz," with countless international performances, including more than 30 tours to the USA and Canada.
